WinLine PPS
Effective production planning and control
Inhaltsverzeichnis
In industrial manufacturing companies, effective production planning and control are paramount. Special PPS systems such as WinLine PROD provide IT support.
With WinLine PROD, you can carry out all production planning and control in your manufacturing company: from optimizing throughput times and monitoring deadlines and capacities to the economical use of operating resources.
Integration into our WinLine ERP system allows you to control your human and financial resources. The automatic flow of data from production to warehouse management and order processing, and from there to financial accounting, cost accounting, and asset accounting, ensures consistent and efficient work processes.
The integration of the WinLine FAKT merchandise management system ensures the availability of production components and materials. In addition, you can transfer customer orders recorded here directly to the production module for production planning. With the help of resource management, you can determine the utilization, availability, and scheduling of production orders. Effective control instruments ensure a smooth production process.
WinLine PROD enables individual and series production as well as the production of variants. The PPS system ensures increased profits for your company by minimizing production costs and reducing production expenses.
The WINLine PPS system supports you in the optimal planning and control of your manufacturing processes. The decisive factor here is a smooth production process that takes into account capacities, resources, and availability:
- Integrated into WinLine FAKT and interaction with purchasing, materials management, and sales
- Efficient resource management
- Optimization of capacities
- Simple design of production processes
- Acceleration of the production process
- Ensuring profitable work processes
Capacity planning
The “CRP” (Capacity Resource Planning) module covers capacity planning and supplements the functionalities of our PPS system WinLine PROD with optional rough and detailed resource planning. Rough and detailed planning
For each resource group (e.g., skilled workers), you can specify whether you want to carry out rough or detailed planning of orders – or a mixture of both. Rough planning is based on capacities that can be defined in a shift time calendar using the available resources (number of employees in this period). This makes it possible to take seasonal fluctuations in capacity utilization into account.
Forward and backward scheduling
Based on the available capacities, all production orders are scheduled in the resource groups using either forward or backward scheduling. To optimize delivery times, you can schedule raw materials or semi-finished products in detail. If the capacity planning information based on resource groups is insufficient, planning can be broken down to the individual resource (employee, machine, etc.) down to the minute. Optimal resource utilization
This detailed planning clearly shows the utilization of the specific resource. Whenever the key date, i.e., the transition between rough and detailed planning, is postponed, the projects are recalculated. All production orders affected by the postponement are then rescheduled and recalculated from the key date.
External production
By using the WinLine PROD FFG module, you can expand your WinLine PROD functionalities to include external production.
In external production, you can outsource production orders either generally or as required. This option can be important if, for example, internal resources are insufficient to execute a customer order on time. Or if certain types of production cannot be carried out in-house (e.g., finishing) and specialists must therefore be called in to implement these specific requirements.
Precise overview and traceability at all times
In WinLine PROD FFG, the external manufacturer is treated as a separate storage location and managed as such in the program. This allows you to track exactly which material must be delivered at what time to enable the external manufacturer to produce the ordered parts on time. The necessary delivery documents are issued, with the work order serving as the production order in this case. You can schedule transport times for the outward and return journey of the goods via time-controlled activities so that these are also taken into account in the production process.
