From Concept to Implementation: Medialine AG Trainees Successfully Complete IT Project Week

From July 20 to 24, 2026, “Planning” became “Practice”: Trainees at Medialine AG put into practice the IT solution they had previously designed themselves for a specified customer scenario. The focus was on technical implementation, functional testing, documentation, and the presentation of the results.

A Realistic Client Scenario

The project week marked the final implementation phase of a joint long-term project. Participants included trainees in their first and second years of training—among them aspiring IT specialists in system integration, IT specialists in data and process analysis, and business administrators in IT systems management.

The scenario presented the teams with a challenging task: Following flood damage, the IT infrastructure of a dental practice needed to be rebuilt. Requirements included, among other things, a fail-safe architecture, a secure network infrastructure, data backup, data protection, and an emergency and recovery plan.

Implementing Solutions, Presenting Results

Building on their preliminary work, the teams put their solutions into practice during the project week, tested the new IT infrastructure, and presented their results in a clear and understandable manner. In this way, the project combined technical requirements with organizational planning, coordination, and customer-oriented documentation.

It is precisely this mix that makes the format so valuable: Trainees learn early on what really matters in IT projects. They analyze requirements, make technical decisions, and learn to present complex issues in a structured manner.

Training with Real Added Value

At the end of the implementation week, the teams presented their results on-site. This highlighted what had been achieved over the course of the project: concrete results that combine technical expertise, collaboration, and communication.
