Medialine Team at the 2026 Open Water Cup in Leipzig

At the 12th eureos OPEN WATER CUP in Leipzig, Medialine Group team once again took on the challenge of dragon boat racing. Despite pouring rain at the start, a total of 22 boats took to the water, creating a fantastic atmosphere along the course.

The competition consists of 150-meter sprint races. In each boat, eight participants—including at least two women—paddle in as perfect a synchronized rhythm as possible to achieve the best time.

In the end, Medialine Group completed four races and finished in 18th place. Particularly noteworthy: The field of competitors was extremely close in terms of time—just about two seconds faster would have meant a spot in the top 10.

More Than Just a Race

The Open Water Cup stands not only for athletic ambition, but above all for team spirit, interaction, and shared experiences. Cheering, paddling, getting wet, and spending a special day together—it’s precisely this mix that has defined the event for years.

Strong Partnership on the Water

A special highlight this year was the participation of our partner Deutsche Telekom with its own boat. The team achieved a strong 6th place, underscoring that successful partnerships aren’t just built through projects, but also through shared experiences outside of everyday work.
