Medialine AG acquires Heidelberg iT's IT services business effective June 1, 2026

Strategic realignment strengthens future viability, expands service portfolio, and ensures continuity for customers and partners

The remaining part of Heidelberg iT will continue to operate independently and will increasingly focus on the core areas of server hosting (data centers/colocation), internet, and IT security. Managing Director Matthias Blatz is particularly driving the focus on high-performance IT environments that meet the requirements of data-intensive applications and AI solutions and strengthen data sovereignty.

With this move, both companies are strategically realigning themselves and laying the groundwork for further growth in a dynamic IT market. The goal is to secure existing strengths, leverage synergies, and sustainably expand the range of services offered to customers.

In addition to the company’s existing areas of focus—including IT infrastructure, networks, IT security, and Microsoft 365 solutions—additional services such as business continuity, business software, modern workplace solutions, collaboration, and a powerful proprietary business cloud will now be available.
