This is a dual purpose thread.
a) GREYS ANATOMY! Best show ever!! (in my opinion) I'm sure a lot of others watch it... What's going to happen to Meredith? They're not going to kill her off. It's her show! Last nights episode (along with plenty others) was so intense. I just think it's a very well written show.
b)If not Grey's, what is your vote for best show currently or in recent past?

I just watched last night's show - it was really intense, but she can't die, because it's her name in the show and it's too popular of a show for them to end it... so, with that said, I think she'll have some crazy issues, maybe a coma next week? We'll see, because there is only one more Thursday of sweeps left.
Second to that, I love Boston Legal - hilarious with interesting social commentary. Third, Studio 60, an intelligent comedy.
-------------------- Upslope or no upslope... that is the question.

But I already watch Scrubs.. hahaha
Seriously, I am nuts about My Name Is Earl. I just think that's one of the best written shows on TV. And it's obviously about Camden County, South Jersey, where I grew up.
I so want to be a weatherman Earl abused once in the past and I'm on his list... Affiliate Relations, answer your phone...

I haven't seen it in *years*, but recently found out all the episodes are available on Google Video... or for BitTorrent download (with the blessing of the show's creator). I just nabbed them all yesterday -- oh happy day!

Also, a guilty pleasure is now Studio 60...not a bad show at all, but you'll need to catch up.

Admittedly, I watch way too much T.V.
Love Lost, 24, Grey's and Heroes. Do not care for Studio 60--just seems like Aaron's Sorkin's political rants clumsily written into a laughably self-important drama. (I quote Tina Fey who recently told the crowd at the Writers Guild Awards, "I hear Aaron Sorkin is in Los Angeles wearing the same dress- but longer, and not funny.")
Speaking of which--30 Rock is one of the funniest shows to come along in a decade, and I love Alec Baldwin on it.
For Drama, I think Friday Night Lights is best show on television--great writing, great acting, great directing.

Love 24, too. Though I think it's fueled by cliches this season, and we're having to suspend a LOT of disbelief on how they can get from one town to another, etc. They're asking a lot this time.

I knew that. It's been awhile...and I'm overtired this week. Sorry about that.
Yes, Mallrats is a Jersey kid's classic. I should like Scrubs for that reason... Zach Braff, Garden State, some North Jersey landmarks I'm familiar with (KMFD...is there a North and South or a North, Central and South NJ...my friends and I have this argument all the time when we get together...I'm a Central convert, but I still preach north and south).
I suppose I should like the Sopranos, but I have not been able to sit down and say...time to watch season 1. Eventually I will.

I find Brown's story fascinating!
from Wikipedia Prior to his cooking career, he received a degree in drama from the University of Georgia. He then worked in cinematography and film production. In that field, he is probably best known for his work as the director of photography for the R.E.M. music video "The One I Love." He also worked as a steadicam operator on the Spike Lee film School Daze.
At some point he noticed that he was very dissatisfied with the quality of cooking shows currently airing on American television, so he set out to produce his own show. Not possessing the requisite knowledge, he enrolled in the New England Culinary Institute, from which he graduated in 1997. Brown states that he had been a poor science student in high school and college, so he began to study the subject as he took cooking training and felt the need to understand the underlying processes of cooking.
Everyone whom loves science (uh yeah, WXline folks) should really check out an episode of "Good Eats" [ February 16, 2007, 07:27 PM: Message edited by: Red Rover ]

COME ON!!! Nobody voted for Climate Code... admittedly I don't see much of it, but I can't wait for the boxed DVD set.
NOT!!!!
TVLand re-running the original Star Treks ... the cheesy morality plays are fun to watch. Always a big "moral of the story" theme.
And you have to admit, the "communicators" weren't that far off: hello Nextel flip phones with walkie talkies??? And Phasers = Tasers. Creepy huh?
Can't wait till someone invents the transporter so we can get beamed around from place to place - eliminating long lines in airports and for that matter, eliminating airports, jet fuel carbon footprints and global warming!!! (You knew it was coming to that).

Gray's is a great show too but quite honestly Meridith's pathetic character wears me out. I'm fine if she's gone. (will never happen)
Lost is good but needs to resolve something soon!
Finally, I'm embarassed to say....I watch and enjoy American Idol.

I'd have to say I'm a Simpsons fan, and I also like Mythbusters.
I haven't been able to tolerate much network TV for several years now. It all seems like the same drivel to me. There hasn't been a good comedy since Seinfeld (and That 70s Show, before it started to suck).
I might have to check out some of the suggestions here, though.

Can't miss: The Office, Studio 60-one of the smartest dramadies on TV right now, LOST
Have been missing the Simpsons due to laziness and NFL mucking with the start time, but wil try to start watching again...I do buy the DVDs and have been and always will be a fan.
Can't seem to get into Earl and Scrubs bores me now for some reason even though I used to like it. I record the Office right through 30 Rock and 'scrub' right through Scrubs to get to 30 Rock which is fricking hilarious!

I love Family Guy too, but never get to watch the new ones these days since I'm always at work Sunday nights. I'll catch reruns on Adult Swim sometimes.
Other favorites: Firefly (too bad it only lasted a season), Quantum Leap, and Mystery Science Theater 3000.
