Strange work discussion today, probably more of a frightening learning experience about some co-workers. We got down to yapping about what we put on top of our pizza, not toppings but things like: ranch dressing, Tabasco sauce, crushed red pepper, Parmesan cheese, sandwich peppers, I think that's about as far we got. Anyone else have some bizarre pizza rituals?

People always feel like they have to screw with what they're eating, I've never understood that. Except for maybe the hot sauce. Restaurants don't understand spicy.

Amen. Crushed red peppers on my pizza for that added something.

Weird but fun!

Best pizza ever... and easy to make at home... Sliced tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh mozarella cheese.

Barbecue chicken pizza? AWESOME!

Also... I like pineapple and ham as a pizza topping. Good stuff.

Done.

Lost me with the olives.
Grabbed me with the bacon...
I would normally go with Pepperoni, Onion and GP.

Thin crust and square cut.

Make my own:

Thin hand-tossed crust (worked in pizza in college and didn't lose this talent)
VERY thin layer of olive oil
VERY thin layer of tomato paste beaten with clarified butter and/or water
Sprinkle of dried oregano
(if I have some) couple of crushed basil leaves, shredded
VERY thin sliced tomatoes
Sprinkle of black pepper
Liberal sprinkle of Parmesano Reggiano cheese
Shavings of Asiago
About two cups of shredded Mozzarella and Provolone
To top -- finely diced... pastrami
More thinly sliced tomatoes
and sometimes...
Olive salad

I made a pizza last week with a little pizza sauce, mozz cheese, sliced fresh tomatoes, artichokes, and a really good seasoning. It was GOOD.
