sorry it's a bit small...but thought it was an awesome lightning display!

That's a good picture to use to show a "Ground to Cloud" strike, instead of the more common "Cloud to Ground" variety. The forking of the lightning upward shows the stepped leader grew upward from the ground toward the sky. A lot of people don't quite grasp that aspect of lightning generation, and that pic is a great way to help them understand.

I scanned it from a book. Says it's near the community of Wyckoff, MO...Taken summer of 92'

Nice shot.
But to be honest, when I first saw the town name, I misread it as Wackmeoff. Must of been some sort of Freudian slip.
Why is it my mind goes immediately to the gutter whenever I read one of your posts?
