Well, she does not have a Nobel Prize, but my new housemate says ugly things about blacks, jews, and all her best friends.
One question: she is trying to drag me to parties with her on the weekend, and I think it's a bad idea; how would you get out of it? I get the drift that this lady is all about cutting other people down to make herself look good.
I don't have a lease here, just a verbal agreement. I am looking for a place to move, but I don't want her to just up and kick me out in the meantime.
Any tactful ways to deal with this person, other than locking myself in my room while she goes on cursing sprees?

Okay but the guy did bring up one point I find worth exploring--what is it about Latin men that makes them seem so suave and sexy while English dudes have the reputation for being repressed and, if Prince Charles is any indication, awkwardly kinky? Is it nature or nuture?

I always try to consider what's going to be of 'importantance' to the Medialine family. I'm fortunate in the respect that nearly every one of my thoughts and ideas fit that profile nicely.

This doesn't surprise me at ALL.
Dr. William Shockley was a Nobel Prize-winning physicist who believed blacks were inferior. (He was not a doctor, just a bigot with engineering skills who used his fame as a Nobel winner to spread idiotic ideas.)
I remember SNL had a skit called "Dr. Shockley's House of Sperm" which was essentially a 5 minutes riff on jerking off. (Fans of old time SNL know that masterbation was a favorite topic)
